Venice Missing Treasures

Through its history, the landscape of Venice has changed significantly. Many artifacts have been looted, moved, or destroyed. Pieces of art that were once concentrated in Venice are now scattered around the world. Historically significant buildings, such as churches and convents, have been modified or destroyed and canals have been filled in. The purpose of the Missing Venetian Treasures Collage is to display some of these “missing treasures” and preserve their rich history for posterity.
