This project addressed some of the major problems facing Venice. Some projected solutions included the design of selective
garbage pick up bins for canals, the utilization of wells as garbage compactors, wind mills and the use of wind power in Venice,
solar panels and small turbines for canal marking and lighting, co-generation in Murano, accretion in the lagoon, tidal energy tapping,
handicapped canal crossings, floating restrooms, and surveillance cameras inside fancy light fixtures.
